Royce "The Voice"
A voice anointed to heal, inspire, and uplift.
About Me
From the time he could walk, Royce was singing, echoing the songs of Zion alongside his grandmother. By nine, he was invited to sing with the adult choir; by fourteen, he was leading, writing, teaching, conducting, and playing for choirs across the city and the nation. His gifts, recognized early, opened doors for formal study in vocal music education at the University of Louisiana Monroe. As a member of Delta Omicron, he dove deep into choral artistry, the science of voice, and the visual language of music—building a foundation that would set him apart as both an artist and an architect of sound. His voice is velvet and thunder—instantly evoking comparisons to the greats: Donnie Hathaway, Luther Vandross, Daryl Coley, Rev. James Moore, Marvin Gaye, Al Green, and Sam Cooke. But Royce is no echo—his delivery is uniquely his own: a blend of soulful warmth, technical mastery, and unfiltered vulnerability, all undergirded by anointing and authenticity. Royce’s influence spans genres and generations. As a singer, producer, songwriter, and coach, he has collaborated with industry icons—Reba McEntire, Jill Scott, Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, Vashawn Mitchell, Kurt Carr, BeBe Winans, Casting Crowns, Bishop Paul S. Morton, and many more. With the Gospel Music Workshop of America (GMWA), Royce has served as both a featured artist and songwriter, presenting and contributing in various divisions throughout the years. His pen and production can be heard on the 2011 release “Declare the Works” with Bishop John F. Ramsey & The New Life Church of Indianapolis—featuring the title track written and performed by Royce in collaboration with Grammy-winning producer Daniel Weatherspoon. In 2012, Royce released Calvary, a striking and deeply moving EP that centers on the passion of Christ. The title track, composed, arranged, and performed by Royce, pairs his soaring tenor voice with his own piano playing and a sweeping orchestral backdrop. The project also features “The Faith Song” and a reimagined version of “Declare the Works,” backed by his vocal ensemble, Divine Purpose. Calvary remains a beloved body of work that captures Royce’s unmatched ability to translate biblical truth into sound that stirs both soul and spirit. Ministry meets artistry—and at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Nashville, Tennessee, this intersection became a blueprint. As Ministry of Choral Activities Director under Bishop Joseph W. Walker, III, where he still serves today, Royce has worked with, led, developed, and overseen a thriving worship ministry whose excellence and innovation have set a new standard—not just in the local Nashville community, but globally. Since 2009, his years of service have helped establish a model that worship ministries and churches around the world continue to study and emulate. Multiple viral worship moments captured live at Mount Zion—such as “The Blood” and “Shifting the Atmosphere”—featuring Bishop Walker and Royce in spiritual sync, have touched millions online and continue to minister to hearts across the globe. Perhaps no performance captures Royce’s genius more than his now-iconic rendition of “God Has Smiled on Me”—a live, Spirit-led arrangement that fuses gospel tradition with secular soul flair. In this one performance, Royce seamlessly blends interpretations of Ron Isley, Al Green, and Rance Allen, embodying their musical essences while elevating the gospel message. That arrangement alone has garnered international acclaim, further solidifying his place as one of gospel music’s most inventive and dynamic interpreters. 2025 marks a new chapter. Royce has signed with Fifty Something Records (Jim Vierra) and LRAE Entertainment (Earl Bynum), a partnership poised to propel his sound and message even further. His first single with the label, “Rain On Me,” is set for global release on July 18, 2025, available on all streaming platforms and music retailers worldwide. Following this, a highly anticipated live project—recorded at Mt. Zion and featuring the unity and power of Mount Zion’s combined choir—will release Summer 2026, capturing the essence of worship and the heart of a true servant-leader. But above all the credits, the viral moments, the symphonic collaborations, and the chart- climbing singles—Royce Mosley remains a vessel. “I want my life to be proof that God still transforms brokenness into purpose, pain into praise, and obstacles into opportunity.” Through every note, every lyric, and every testimony, Royce is dedicated to lifting hearts, building bridges, and reminding a generation that there is always another alternative—and that alternative is found in the arms of God, through the power of music & authentic worship.
